IMAGE SIZE PRO is a free image toolkit for compressing, resizing, and converting JPG, PNG, and WebP photos to an exact requirement: a maximum file size, exact pixel dimensions, or both. It's built for anyone with a specific number to hit rather than a vague "smaller": job applicants and students uploading photos to a portal with a size cap, people prepping images for a form or ID upload, and anyone tired of guessing whether a quality slider actually got them where they needed to be. Every step runs locally in your browser; your files are never uploaded to a server.

Privacy by construction

Nothing you process is ever uploaded.

A lot of online image tools upload your file, work on it on a server, and promise to delete it afterwards. The tools here open the file with your browser's own image APIs and do the work in this tab, whether that's compressing, cropping, or reading pixel colors. The image is never sent over the network, so there's no server copy to keep or delete. That matters most for passport photos, ID scans, and visa forms.

Read how it works

// what happens to the file you add

const bitmap = await createImageBitmap(file);

// decoded in this tab: no fetch(), no upload

ctx.drawImage(bitmap, 0, 0, width, height);

// then resize, crop, or read pixels, depending on the tool

const blob = await canvas.toBlob(format, quality);

// your download is a blob: URL made in this tab

Three steps

How it works

01

Add your image

Drop in one photo or a whole batch. JPG, PNG, and WebP are supported.

02

Set your requirement

Type a max file size (like 100KB), exact pixel dimensions, or both.

03

Get a verified download

Check format ✓ / dimensions ✓ / size ✓, then download. Your image stays in the browser the whole time.

Why it's different

Why IMAGE SIZE PRO

Most image tools stop at “smaller.” These features are for when a form has a hard limit you have to meet.

Type a target, not a guess

Most compressors give you a quality slider and hope. Type “100KB” and the tool searches for the highest quality that still lands at or under it, so you don't have to re-export five times.

A visible pass or fail, every time

Format ✓ · dimensions ✓ · file size ✓. You see the result before you download, not after a government form or job portal rejects the upload.

Your image isn't uploaded

The file is processed in your browser and never sent to our server, so there's no “deleted after one hour” promise to take on trust. That matters most for passport photos, IDs, and visa forms.

Exact means exact

Ask for 800×600 and you get 800×600. If the tool can't deliver that, it tells you why instead of quietly handing back 800×533.

Size, dimensions, and format in one pass

Set all three together and the result is checked against each one. Using a resizer and then a separate compressor often undoes the first step.

No account, no watermark

Resizing a photo shouldn't need a login or a credit balance. There's no paid tier, so nothing is held back behind one.

The tools

Pick the job you need done

Every tool runs entirely in your browser. Pick the one that matches what you're actually trying to do.

What is IMAGE SIZE PRO?

Most image tools ask "how much smaller do you want this?" and give you a slider. IMAGE SIZE PRO asks a different question: what does this image actually need to satisfy? If a form says "under 100KB," or an application wants a photo at exactly 300×400 pixels, dragging a quality slider and hoping is slow and unreliable. You upload, get rejected, and try again. This tool works from your stated requirement backwards: type the number, and it finds the settings that meet it, then shows you proof.

Compress images to the size you need

Turn on "Limit file size" in the tool above, type a target or tap a common preset (20KB, 50KB, 100KB, or 200KB), and the tool searches for the highest JPG or WebP quality that still lands at or under it. If your original is a large photo and the target is strict, it also scales dimensions down as needed, and tells you plainly when it had to.

Resize images to exact dimensions

Pixel dimensions (width × height) are different from file size, and plenty of forms care about both. Turn on "Resize" to set an exact width and height: lock the aspect ratio and enter just one value to have the other calculated automatically, or set both and choose whether to crop to fill the box, fit the whole photo inside it, or stretch to match exactly. Ask for 800×600 and that's what you get, never a "maintain aspect ratio" substitution that quietly changes your numbers.

Compress + resize in one workflow

A lot of real requirements are both at once. "300×400 pixels and under 50KB" is a completely normal ask for an application photo, and hitting it usually means doing compression and resizing together, not as two separate steps on two separate sites. Set both in the tool above and they're applied and checked in a single pass, so you're not left wondering whether resizing afterward undid the size limit you hit first.

Check whether your image meets the requirement

Every result comes back with a plain verification, not just a download link: Format ✓, File size ✓, and Dimensions ✓ are shown for whichever requirements you actually set, followed by a single Requirement satisfied ✓ line when everything checks out — or a plain explanation of what didn't fit, if something couldn't be met. You know before you submit a file, not after it's rejected.

Supported image formats

JPG/JPEG, PNG, and WebP are supported for both input and output. JPG and WebP are lossy formats with a quality dial, so they're the better choice when you need to hit a strict file-size target. PNG is lossless: every pixel is preserved exactly, which is right for screenshots, logos, and anything needing transparency, but it has no quality dial and shrinks mainly through resizing rather than compression.

Privacy and browser processing

The tool decodes, resizes, compresses, and converts your file using image-processing APIs built into your own browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Your image is never sent to a server as part of using this tool: there's no upload step to intercept, and no server-side copy to retain or delete later, because one is never made. You can confirm this yourself by watching your browser's network activity while you use the tool. See how it works for the full technical explanation.

Common image size requirements

A few size and dimension targets come up often enough to be worth naming directly. Treat these as common, typical figures, not universal rules, since exact requirements always depend on the specific form or platform you're using:

  • Image below 100KB — a frequent cap on application and registration forms.
  • Image below 50KB — common on exam and registration portals.
  • 200 × 200 pixels — a typical square size for avatars and profile photos.
  • 300 × 400 pixels — a common portrait size for application-style photo uploads.

We don't state these as official specifications for any particular government body, exam, university, or company. Always check the exact number on the form you're actually submitting to.

Frequently asked questions

Can I compress an image to an exact file size, like 100KB?

Yes. Turn on “Limit file size,” type a number (or tap a 20/50/100/200KB preset), and IMAGE SIZE PRO searches for the highest quality that still lands at or under your target, then shows a ✓ to confirm it did.

Do you upload my photos to a server?

No. Decoding, resizing, compressing, and converting all run in your browser using the canvas APIs built into Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Your file is never sent over the network.

Can I resize to an exact pixel size, not just a percentage?

Yes. Enter an exact width and height. If you lock the aspect ratio and only set one dimension, the other is calculated for you; if you set both, you choose whether to crop, fit, or stretch to that exact box.

What if my file size target and my dimensions target conflict?

We tell you plainly. If hitting your byte-size limit required shrinking the image smaller than the exact dimensions you asked for, the dimensions badge shows that instead of silently returning a different size than you requested.

How can I check whether my image meets a required file size?

After processing, IMAGE SIZE PRO compares the result against whatever you set (file size, dimensions, or both) and shows a clear ✓ or ✕ for each, plus an overall “Requirement satisfied” confirmation when everything checks out. You can see this before downloading, instead of finding out only after a form rejects your upload.

What image formats are supported?

JPG, PNG, and WebP for both input and output. WebP and JPG give you a quality dial for hitting tight size targets; PNG is lossless, so tight targets rely on resizing instead.

Is there a limit on how many images I can process, or a signup required?

No account, no email, no watermark, and no cap we impose. Batches are limited only by your device's memory. There's no paid tier hiding behind this tool.
