Does your image meet the requirement?
Upload your image, type the file size, dimension, format, or aspect-ratio requirement you're working against, and get a plain ✓ or ✕ before a form rejects it for you.

JPG, PNG, or WebP · checked on this device · nothing is uploaded
Most upload forms state a requirement, not a preference: "under 2MB," "at least 600×600," "JPG only." A general compressor or resizer makes you translate that requirement into settings yourself and hope you got it right. This tool checks your actual file against the actual requirement first, tells you plainly what passes and what doesn't, and if something fails, sends your image straight to the compressor/resizer below with the right settings already filled in.

Nothing you process is ever uploaded.
A lot of online image tools upload your file, work on it on a server, and promise to delete it afterwards. The tools here open the file with your browser's own image APIs and do the work in this tab, whether that's compressing, cropping, or reading pixel colors. The image is never sent over the network, so there's no server copy to keep or delete. That matters most for passport photos, ID scans, and visa forms.
Read how it works// what happens to the file you add
const bitmap = await createImageBitmap(file);
// decoded in this tab: no fetch(), no upload
ctx.drawImage(bitmap, 0, 0, width, height);
// then resize, crop, or read pixels, depending on the tool
const blob = await canvas.toBlob(format, quality);
// your download is a blob: URL made in this tab
Frequently asked questions
How does the Image Requirement Checker work?
Upload your image, then set whatever requirements matter to you: a maximum file size, a maximum width or height, a required format, or an aspect ratio. You'll get a plain ✓ or ✕ for each one, plus an overall pass/fail, so you know exactly why an upload might be rejected before you submit it anywhere.
What happens when I click “Fix my image”?
The image and the requirements you set are sent to the compressor/resizer tool further down this page, already configured to match what you asked for. Click “Process images” there to actually generate the fixed file. Nothing is changed until you do.
Does this upload my photo anywhere to check it?
No. Reading the file size, dimensions, and format happens entirely in your browser using the File and Canvas APIs. Your image is never sent over the network, whether you're just checking it or fixing it.
What does the aspect-ratio check actually compare?
It compares your image's width-to-height ratio against the ratio you choose (a preset like 4:3 or 16:9, or a custom ratio) within a small tolerance. Exact pixel-perfect ratios are rare in real photos, so a close match still passes.
Can I check a maximum width or height without limiting the other?
Yes. Leave either field blank and only the one you filled in is checked. Set both to check a full bounding box, like “must fit within 2000×2000.”
